Serv-U Web Transfer Client

All Editions of Serv-U have the Built-In Web Client!

Web Client Pro adds drag-and-drop, multiple and large file support!

Our GOLD and SILVER editions now ship with Web Client Pro, a browser plug-in that allows people to transfer multiple files and large files (>2GB) through their web browser via drag-and-drop.

Serv-U includes a simple, browser-based transfer client perfect for every business environment. The Web Client is accessed through a standard web browser and features an unintimidating, familiar interface. It is a great way for sharing photos and image files with clients and co-workers due to its configurable thumbnail view that allows remote images to be quickly viewed without downloading the entire file. An additional slideshow view offers a fast way to share a collection of photos from your latest projects. When using Serv-U, photo sharing sites and large email attachments are a thing of the past!

In a corporate environment, the Web Client eliminates the need to train users on a proprietary client geared towards power users. It's a perfect tool for sharing and receiving a couple files from business associates. No additional software is required and users interact with the Web Client just like a regular web page. Cut down on your internal support costs and training time by deploying the Web Client with the Serv-U File Server. For organizations looking for the same easy deployment and standardized platform offered by the Web Client with more advanced features, FTP Voyager JV is for you.

Benefits of the Serv-U Web Client:

  • Delivers a new, Web-based transfer client for the Serv-U File Server.
  • Gives centralized administration, management, and deployment.
  • Allows users to easily upload, download, delete and rename files and to create, rename and delete folders on the remote server.
  • Delivers full compatibility for end users running today's top operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, and Mac) and browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome).
  • Offers the convenience of the Web and no software to install for end users.

Newest Features:

  • File search with wildcard support.
  • Crumb bar navigation for faster directory browsing.
  • History navigation with forward and back actions.

More Advanced and Exciting Features:

  • Built-in Media player to play your favorite audio and video files.
  • Playlist option to turn a entire directory into a streaming audio playlist.
  • User defined messages displayed to a user after successfully logging in.
  • Upload progress information - something unavailable by most Web-based clients.
  • Pictures can be viewed as thumbnails from within the page - without downloading the entire image.
  • You can even display all pictures in a folder as a configurable slideshow.
