After uploading a file the date and time of the uploaded file may be different than expected. This might be due to a few different reasons:

  • The server's date and time may be setup incorrectly.
  • The server doesn't support maintaining uploaded dates and times, like Serv-U does.
  • The server might be located in a different time zone.
  • Logging in as anonymous gives a different time on some servers, as when logging in with a user account.

If the server is in a different time zone, the interpreted time in FTP Voyager may be adjusted by setting an "hour offset" as found in the "Advanced | General" settings under the Site Profile Manager.





If the server doesn't support maintaining uploaded dates and times and you can change the server software, we recommend trying Serv-U.
