Error: Home Directory does not Exist - KB Article #1248Related Articles --
When configuring Serv-U as a system service on a system running the Windows XP / Server 2003 or newer operating system, the Serv-U service runs under the Local System account by default. Because the Local System account has no network privileges, it prevents Serv-U from accessing home directories located on UNC paths, generating the error "Error: Home directory does not exist" for users with home directories which use UNC paths. To mitigate this issue, please see the instructions at Knowledge Base Article #1156.
NOTE: When testing Serv-U we recommend using FTP Voyager because of its logging capabilities, and our ability to support both Serv-U and FTP Voyager.
