After installing and configuring Zaep, your email client must also be configured to use Zaep. To learn more about account configuration in Zaep, please click here (article 1307).

To configure Pegasus Mail to use Zaep, follow these steps:

  1. Start Pegasus Mail.
  2. Select "Tools | Internet Options". The "Internet Mail Options" dialog appears.

  3. Enter your e-mail address into the "My Internet e-mail address is" field.
  4. Select the "Receiving (POP3)" tab at the top of the dialog.
  5. Select or Create a new POP3 configuration.
  6. The "Settings for retrieving mail (POP3)" dialog appears.

  7. Enter the IP address of your Zaep server into the "Server host name". If Zaep is running on the same computer as Zaep, enter 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
  8. Enter your email address into the "User name" field. A corresponding Zaep account must also exist.
  9. Change the port number to the POP3 Proxy port number being used in Zaep. The default port number in Zaep is 1100.
  10. Select the "Sending (SMTP)" tab at the top of the dialog.
  11. Select or Create a new SMTP configuration.
  12. The "Settings for sending mail (SMTP)" dialog appears.

  13. Enter the IP address of your Zaep server into the "Server host name". If Zaep is running on the same computer as Zaep, enter 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
  14. Change the port number to the SMTP Proxy port number being used in Zaep. The default port number in Zaep is 2500.
  15. Close all open dialogs by selecting OK.
