FTP CRC Checksum (XCRC) - KB Article #1367Related Articles --
FTP Voyager supports XCRC error checking, a feature that has been added to many FTP Servers, including Serv-U. The XCRC command uses a CRC (cyclic redundancy check) to verify the data was transferred correctly. The algorithm used is CRC-32, a very well known standard algorithm that ensures the data sent is the same as the data received.
When FTP Voyager is connected to an FTP server or FTPS server that supports the XCRC command, it automatically checks the XCRC value with the server to ensure the content of the data is correct. If the XCRC check fails, FTP Voyager will either automatically retry the file transfer or stop the transfer, depending on the number of "File Tries" configured under "Connection | File Transfer."
XCRC settings are available at the global level ("Tools" ribbon, "Options" or "Scheduler Options" button) or individual FTP and FTPS site profiles. The "XCRC Checking" option is found on the main "Connection" node, under the "File Transfer" section.
Older Versions (FTP Voyager 188.8.131.52 and Previous Versions)
This feature is enabled by default, but can be disabled either globally under View | Options | File Transfer or for individual site profiles under Advanced | File Transfer.
