Field Mapping Options for Importing Banned/Approved Sites into AllegroSurf - KB Article #1659Related Articles --
AllegroSurf can import sites from a text list to either the Banned or Approved Sites list. The columns of data must be mapped to the matching fields in AllegroSurf when the sites are imported. The field mapping options available for the import wizard are below:
Name: The name of the site. Optional. Value is a text string.
Site: The URL to be added. Required field. Value is a text string.
Description: A description of the site. Optional. Value is a text string describing the site.
Ignore Case (1 or 0): Optional. Determines whether the ban/allow rule for this site will be case sensitive. Default value is 0 (unchecked)
Exception URL (1 or 0): Optional. This is a boolean value that checks the Exception URL box if set to 1. This value is only used when importing Approved Sites. If the Exception URL box is unchecked, the server will operate in a "white list" mode, allowing access only to Approved sites. Default value is 0 (unchecked)
Banned URL (1 or 0): Optional. This is a boolean value that checks the Ban site containing string below box if set to 1. This value is only used when importing banned Sites. This allows a single Banned Site rule to ban a large range of sites. Default value is 0 (unchecked)
Below is an example of CSV data that can be imported as a set of
Site,Name,Exception URL,Ignore case
allegrosurf.com,Great proxy software,1,1
ftpvoyager.com,RhinoSoft's FTP client,1,
When importing data to AllegroSurf, the First line of the file is the header box should be checked. The names of the columns do not need to exactly match the names of the AllegroSurf mapping fields, but if they match, AllegroSurf is able to map the fields automatically. In the example above, all three of these sites would be imported as Exception URLs, but the ftpvoyager.com website would be imported without the Ignore Case variable set.
