FTP Voyager JV Fonts Appear "Rough" In Linux  -  KB Article #1717

Related Articles --

When the GTK+ "Style" of FTP Voyager JV is first loaded in some distributions of Linux, the text fields may look slightly "rough" - this is a known issue, and occurs because the default font specified in GTK+ may not always work will within FTP Voyager JV. To resolve this, follow the steps below. These steps may vary slightly depending on your Linux distribution and GUI desktop environment. The steps used in Fedora Core with GNOME are:

  1. Open the Desktop | Preferences | Fonts menu
  2. Change the "Application Font" to a more suitable font than "Sans" (we recommend "Bitstream Vera Sans")
  3. Close FTP Voyager JV
  4. Restart FTP Voyager JV
NOTE 1: The default style for Linux users is "Ocean", which mitigates this issue for most users.
