In some cases, a direct upgrade from to or newer may not resolve the problem. In this case, follow the directions below to resolve the problem.

  1. Backup the Users folder and the Serv-U.Archive file in the Serv-U installation directory (along with other files if necessary, listed at KnowledgeBase Article #1047)
  2. Uninstall Serv-U completely, deleting the installation directory
  3. Reinstall Serv-U using, then stop the Serv-U Service
  4. Copy the Users folder and Serv-U.Archive file back into the Serv-U installation irectory
  5. Start the Serv-U service
